Pitch my friend:

Singles bring along their own “pitchers”—friends who know them best and can pitch them as potential partners to other singles. Your friend will have a few minutes to showcase your best qualities to the crowd, helping you find a match who truly fits. After the pitches, everyone will co-mingle in small groups to see if there’s a spark! Pitchers will even receive prompts ahead of time to ensure you shine.

Shoot your shot: 

You approach someone, maybe the bartenders or selected people that will sit at the bar, you buy a shot for them, then you “shoot your shot.” You give your little speech of how you would approach someone at the bar, and the other person would listen and then shoot you down, but give feedback on your delivery or topic of how you broke the ice. It’s for people to test out their first impressions.
